For the eighth consecutive year, Craig is participating at the The World Bodypainting Festival in Austria. This year Craig is once again on the jury. He will be using his vast knowledge to judge the near 200 international bodypainting artists. As a former world champion, and the premier fine art bodypainter, Craig always makes for a most capable and passionate judge. In addition to his judging duties, Craig will again be teaching a workshop, where aspiring bodypainters can benefit from his insight and talent.
For the first time ever, one of Craig's most distinguished clients, Mr. and Mrs. Joe and Maureen Kaiser, hosted an unveiling celebration honoring the commissioned piece that Craig created specifically for them. Craig attended this exclusive event, which was held on June 18th, at their lovely home, in Grosse Point, Michigan. What's New. 11-25-10
It's been an amazing year for Craig Tracy and his outstanding art. First off... Craig's brother, Phil Tracy has been named the Gallery's Director. Phil will now be handling the majority of the day to day business that keeps Craig's art thriving. Please feel free to contact Phil at any time with questions or desires regarding Craig's work. Phil is easily reached by contacting either the gallery's phone or email. Craig stated recently, "Phil is the best possible person in the world to represent me when I'm unavailable. No one knows me better and he's amazing with people." Just behind Phil is Craig's youngest brother Eric. Eric helps with the gallery as Craig's primary Gallery Consultant. "Eric might be my baby brother, but he's the main man around here when Phil's off or out. I love that we all work together." boasts the artist. "I love them both dearly."
Diverse New Work
Wow. So much new work... Craig has recently painted a variety of dynamic new images. He continues to expand his creative range using ever changing techniques and working with a broadening subject matter. He still holds disdain regarding the concept of being "boxed in" with regard to painting repetitive images in order to establish a "definitive style." His desire to explore has propelled his work to new heights and the world has been taking notice. Please have a look for yourself inside the gallery section and enjoy. When asked about the subject of his style, the artist boldly proclaimed, "it's not that I lack focus, but rather that my focus is on creativity and visual diversity. I hope to allow quality bodypainted images to define me, if I need definition at all, it's not going to be from a single style or technique." |
Traveling Around The World.
Craig's passion for his work has taken him to four separate continents in the past four months. Craig has recently returned from art invitational events in Shanghai China, Seeboden Austria, Dague Korea and Caracas Venezuela. These international events have also been interlaced with a vast multitude of domestic showings as well. He considers these trips essential as his work and the art form of Bodypainting continues to find a larger more limitless audience and clientèle. He does like to mention, however, that nowhere has his work succeeded more, than right here in the USA. "Americans are often leaders and the nice people that collect my work are usually on the cutting edge themselves. I'm just fortunate that they love my efforts." stated the artist in a recent interview. "Being globally recieved has always been a dream of mine and I'm so pleased to be able to share my work and friendship with such a vast diversity of people and nations. It is immensely satisfying."
Getting Some Attention.
In the past twelve months Craig has been approached by and subsequently signed with three different agents. They now represent him in three very different arenas. Television, Book Publishing and Art Gallery Publishing and Representation. Each of these agents are working on deals that will broaden his exposure and bring him opportunities that are generally out of reach for the vast majority of otherwise successful professional visual artists. "I feel extremely fortunate to have these other professionals helping me navigate through these huge areas of my growth. I'd be lost without them." stated Craig when recently asked about his good fortune. "It's a little scary signing deals and making big career decisions without any guidance and representation. I'm very happy to work with a team of Pros." We'll keep you posted of his progress in these dealings and rest assured that he's just getting warmed up. Craig mentioned recently that "I'm really feeling ready for these next steps in my career. I only hope to have the opportunity to share what it is that I do. If I can do that well, then I'm gonna continue to be a very, very happy artist." |
It's About Time!!!!!!!
Welcome to my brand new website. I'm very excited to share with you all of my past work and as well keep you up to date with all of my new work and adventures. Bodypainting has enriched my life tremendously and I hope that through my passion your life will in some positive way be touched. ~ Craig Tracy
This site is currently under constructions so please forgive any and all unfinished and undeveloped aspects of the site. It is a work in progress and will become more refined with each passing month.
The First in the WORLD
In February 2006 Craig Tracy opened the PaintedAlive Gallery in his home city, New Orleans, La USA. PaintedAlive is the first gallery in the world dedicated exclusively to fine art Bodypainted images. It is through the gallery that thousands of people have had the unique opportunity to be introduced to this most alluring, ancient and contemporary art form. "It is my wish that the work that I create becomes a part of peoples lives. I want it to hang in their living and working spaces so that they will feel and experience the dynamic energy, passion, and mystery of each piece and in turn, my energy." ~ Craig Tracy The gallery offers images in a variety of sizes and editions, all printed on the finest archival art papers, photographic papers and canvas. All images are of course individually signed and numbered by the artist and please feel free to ask to speak or email with Craig Tracy personally as he loves discussing his work and providing each client with a sense of understanding and satisfaction. |

Craig creates a new bodypainting to help save the most endangered tiger in the world.

AMAZING Behind The Scenes Video Link
This unique bodypainting was created to increase awareness and benefit a cause that is near to the
heart of the artist. Tigers have always been his favorite animal and when asked to aid in the
effort to protect, repopulate and re-wild this the most endangered tiger in the world, Craig immediately said yes. "Only 100 South China Tigers are reported to remain alive and if my bodypainting can help increase that number by one then I'll have lived with purpose." states the artist.
