Unique in this series of images because of its extremely small scale and its involvement with two separate, yet (literally) related models, “Sisters” was a painting of chance. Fortunately, my model Candie had brought her lovely sister, Gloria to the studio that day. When I (again, quite literally) needed a hand, Sister Gloria was willing and able. Originally I intended to use Candie’s hand but as fate would have it, the angle her hand provided was not as functional as I would have liked. This “relatively” simplistic image is now “twice as nice”.
