“Shelter” was the first painting of this series and its model, pose and composition were all established within one hour’s time. All of the elements came together quite effortlessly including my first time working with photographer Christopher Matthews. Lovely model Cathy was a true pleasure to work with and I thank her. Elephants typically do not have any red or pink on their ears, but I thought that they could use a touch of color.
