"Purple Sax"

“Purple Sax” was an experiment. I wanted to do a bodypainting that stepped outside of the typical boundaries of technique. This painting was painted with neither brush-and-sponge nor airbrush and no special effects were used or added. This is a finger-painting. It felt very primitive for the first hour or so of painting, but once I stopped thinking and really delved into the work, everything just started to flow. This image was challenging, yet freeing and most of the detailed areas were painted with my little finger (pinkie). I'd love to thank Kayce for her involvement. She was my model, photographer and guinea pig on this project. She set up the camera and I just pushed the button.
