Some unions are "set in stone." This is my first ever painting involving a couple. This particular couple is very real and they are married as well. Several technical issues needed to be resolved as the background is also the foreground along the bottom of the image. I hand-painted and airbrushed the backdrop as the process photos should clearly indicate. I chose to allow plenty of disconnecting lines so as to afford the bodies more visibility and to be less integrated with the surrounding design. I've learned that sometimes perfection and absolute accuracy are a bit dehumanizing.
