"Eden"

Wow! Such an exceptional experience this was. The extraordinary form of my model offered me opportunities that I'm so grateful for. I reevaluated every aspect of my process was and found myself loving every second of it. The actual pose that I chose was not really a pose at all, but was rather her natural position as she looked at a book of poses presented to her. I recognized instantly how beautiful and natural this "non-pose" was and chose it for the painting. Artist Robert Gutherie assisted me and to date this image is the hardest single bodypainting that I have every done. I estimate that we worked on her for about twelve hours. Robert assisted me for at least seven hours and I'm sure glad he did. I'd also love to thank Mark Glaviano for videotaping the entire process. It was a special day for all involved.
