I recognized the potential when painting "Spontaneity”, that more then one image would be possible to create and capture. "Chemistry" is a result of wanting more. I asked my Photographer to shot a variety of different angels and expressions, some of which are obvious, as well as some that required precise direction and composition. My photographer, Max did a wonderful job being flexible and available at 2:00 am. I'd like also to give my friend Filippo Ioco some credit here, as his stunning portraiture work helped influence this particular shot. I had studied his use of focus and depth of field and how their impact works to create a certain “Chemistry." Oh, and the real reason for the title is that the Model is a Chemist. A Quantum Chemist to be precise. She was visiting New Orleans for a Chemistry conference.
