Considering that my model Cara is an olive-skinned brunette with waist-length hair, one might appreciate this image for its transformative quality alone. I find its simplicity compelling and its composition harmonious. yet paradoxical. Created in the winter month of January, the unheated studio was so cold that I actually painted Cara in the studio’s heated dressing room.
