“Quondam” is a reference from the past. Both the Native American profile and the head-to-head buffalo were inspirations I visualized while intensely searching the original composition for more intrigue. With this image, as well as several of my others, I’ve learned to not become overly concerned with blending the model seamlessly into the background.
